Meet Hobart Doyon
Hobart’s journey into the pool industry wasn’t the typical path — but it’s exactly what gives him a unique advantage.
His early years were shaped by an 8-year career at Costco, where he learned the value of customer service, consistency, and doing things the right way. While working full-time, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Driven by ambition, he entered Graduate School and earned a Master’s Degree in Accountancy, accepting a corporate position at Tesoro Refining after graduation in 2017. But something unexpected happened along the way…
What started as mowing yards on weekends to support himself during school grew into a thriving landscaping business. Hobart found himself working seven days a week — and realized his passion wasn’t behind a desk.
In 2019, he made the bold decision to leave his accounting career and pursue landscaping and outdoor construction full-time.
The Transition to Pools
During the 2020 boom in outdoor living projects, Hobart became increasingly fascinated with pool construction. After personally managing the build of his own pool — from engineering to equipment to design finishes — that curiosity became a passion.
He immersed himself in industry education, safety standards, hydraulic science, and construction best practices.
Certifications
Today, Hobart holds:
Certified Builder Professional (CBP) credential — Pool & Hot Tub Alliance
Advanced Certified Builder (ACB) status — a designation earned by only a small number of builders nationwide
